About Oakland Recovery
Oakland Recovery is a new venture that seeks to bring help, health and wholeness to people on their journey away from substance abuse. Leveraging the effectiveness of Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Oakland Recovery offers IOP groups at our comfortable facility in Highland, Michigan. IOP groups are great for those who require less intervention than a residential program but more than a once-a-week therapy session.
Groups are forming for January 2025! For up to date information on current groups and schedules, please reach out! Call, email or complete our connect form. We will respond and work with you for a future free of addiction!
FAQs
What are my payment options?
We work with a variety of insurance providers! We can help you find out if your insurance coverage applies to IOP group therapy. We also accept private pay.
Will IOP group therapy really work for me?
Because every person is unique, there is no way to guarantee IOP will result in 100 percent recovery. However, numerous studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of IOPs in treating substance use disorders. IOP effectiveness is comparable to inpatient or residential treatment. IOP retention and completion rates are high, important factors is successful recovery. And IOP rates high in cost-effectiveness, flexibility with work and home life, and long-term outcomes. There are many solid, data supported reasons an IOP group will work for you!
I’m concerned I won’t have the time to complete IOP therapy.
It’s true that IOP therapy is a significant time commitment. However, IOP therapy is much more flexible than inpatient or residential programs. IOP allows you to maintain work and family commitments during treatment. Also consider- how important is it to you to live substance free? What positive changes would you get to experience in your life? Most positive changes in life require significant time to develop, but are worth the journey because the outcomes are so beneficial and far-reaching. Carving out time for IOP may be one of the most important decisions you make.
I’m worried my life will be empty or boring without substances.
It is common for people with substance abuse issues to worry that a life without their substance of choice will be dull, empty, or boring. While it is common to think such things, it is not true. Life without substance abuse is actually more fulfilling and rewarding as you are able to turn your focus on the people and activities that are most important and healthy for you. New opportunities arise and you can put your time and energy into them.
